I found this book on a dusty hotel room shelf while vacationing in Texas, and I'll say I was quite skeptical when I read the title. I mean, "the Hard Corps"? Anyway, I started reading it at around noon and finished it by six that night. Not that It's too short, but because I barely stopped reading for a second. The highly engaging story revolves around five veteran soldiers of fortune who are hired to exterminate members of the Mafia at a ski resort in Italy. The mercs themselves are very interesting guys, each with his own specific talents and method of taking out the opposition. The action is always good, and the writer isn't as tedious as Tom Clancy during the downtime between fights. There are a lot of graphic death scenes, and also a fairly graphic 'mature situation'. This is a book for... I'd say twelve and up, but I'm not a very good judge of that kind of stuff. Anyway, a really good book, so, if you can find a copy, buy it. I hope this review was useful.
