The ideal review for your intermediate accounting courseMore than 40 million students have trusted Schaum's Outlines for their expert knowledge and helpful solved problems. Written by renowned experts... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Dear Sir/Madam: I have either bought or borrowed from the Public Library Schaum's Outline books and for the most part these books were helpful to me. I have been reviewing bookkeeping and accounting for more than 3/4 year because I would like to get back into bookkeeping which I worked with more than ten years ago. I finished Intermediate Accounting 1 written by Baruch Englard and found it useful. If you have similar books in bookkeeping and accounting, please feel free to inform me. Thank you for your follow-up interest in me. Sincerely, Robert M. Ellenbogen

I love this book! It is so nice to have something else other then a college textbook to refer to. This book not only puts things into a different perceptive but is also compare practically everything to the account equation ( A = L + SHE) it is the best!

Builds Nicely on Schaums Principles of Accounting

Accounting has never been a favorite subject of mine, but the Schaums Outline series has been wonderful. Presentation of topical material is concise, Solved Problems reinforce chapter concepts, and chapter-end questions have solidified my understanding of accounting. This book serves as a logical progression to Schaums Principles of Accounting (Levels I and II). It is well-written and enables the reader to understand accounting at the "next level". Intermediate Accounting has 11 chapters which explore long term liabilities, stock ownership, retained earnings, dilutive securities, investments, revenue recognition, leases, statement of cash flows, accounting changes, pensions and loss carrybacks / carryforwards. What the book lacks in continuity, it makes up for in the depth of study the Principles of Accounting can only introduce. As a a CFA candidate, I found this book to be an excellent supplement to the curriculums recommended hardbacked books. I highly recommend this book. For $20, you get a lot of bang for the buck. Enjoy!
