On June 6, 1996 at 2:31 a.m. Darlie Routier dialed 911 and reported that while she was sleeping an intruder stabbed her and her children. Darlie was lying. There was no intruder. Seven months later Darlie Routier was convicted of Capital Murder and sent to death row. In the twenty years since, her few supporters have continued to claim that the jury "got it wrong". In fact, the jury got it right. Darlie is guilty. And after many failed appeals it appears her time is running out and her execution date will soon be set. But Darlie Routier should not be executed. Because if Darlie is killed then we will never know what went on in her mind that tragic morning of June 6, 1996. And if we can't learn why Darlie did what she did then we won't be able to help other young mothers get the help they need before it's too late.
