A great way to enjoy THE SAVAGES all over again

As a studying screenplay writer, I greatly appreciate having this book/shooting script to read. As one who appreciates the deeper relationships between loved ones/families, I loved how Tamara Jenkins captures so much truth. As a daughter who spent day-to-day with her own dying father, I was touched and appreciated how fully Jenkins captured the funny, sad, cringe-worthy and vast sea of emotions involved with a dying parent.

The Best Screenplay of 2007

Forget Juno. If you want to read a crackling dark comedy, The Savages is the script for you. Tamara Jenkins script reads like a classic (which the film IS).
