In my view, this is a very good entry point for anybody else who want to have a general vision of what is "Extreme Programming" and how to use it. All along the book, the autor talk about things on extreme programming with a reference on other good books to be specialized on that subject. This is why I say: "A good entry point". I recommand to read this book and after that, buy other book on subject that you want to know more.

This book is an excellent work, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Mr. Baird has excellent insight into the dynamics of software development projects, what makes them successful and what makes them fail. He does and outstanding job of explaining the concepts of Extreme Programming in the context of his vast professional experiences.I really enjoyed reading this book, and recommend it highly to anyone interested in the concepts of Extreme Programming methodology, but also to anyone who is interested in clear, concise wisdom in regards to how to successfully manage software development lifecycles.I found Mr. Baird to be extremely knowledgeable, very witty and quite capable of explaining these concepts in a way that make it easy to understand, and practical to use.
