Cute story for guinea pig lovers

If you have a pet guinea pig, this is a neat story that portrays them accurately and the drawings are very good. It even gives you tips about care.

This book is a true joy for youngsters and adults alike, or for anyone who loves guinea pigs. The illustrations are beautiful and the information provided regarding the care and maintenance of these precious animals is very applicable - definitely written and illustrated by someone who knows guinea pigs. This a great book to add to any collection!

Adorable book!

This charming picture book manages to impart the basics of guinea pig care combined with an engaging storyline and absolutely perfect illustrations. Follow along with class and teacher as they try to figure out why their pet is in distress. Their attempts to aid him provide the little pig with the attention he craves. Readers will fall in love with Sammy and his wonderfully expressive face. An excellent book for youngsters considering acquiring a guinea pig.

Sweet little book...

Sadly, a classroom is not the ideal environment for such loving little pets as guinea pigs. They get lonely easily and two days alone is too long...but... This is a lovely little book with illustrations so sweet it makes you want to cry. Our family pet is a guinea pig and the illustrations are dead on to his expressions. I'm very grateful that there is another book out there for guinea pig lovers. I hope the author considers writing another one...this time where the guinea pig has a happy family home.

Sammy is a classroom guinea pig. He is usually very happy. He has all he could ever ask for. He has food and water, clean cage, and good friends who care for him. One day the children notice that Sammy seems sad. He makes a fuss while the teacher is trying to teach. The kids try and figure out what is wrong. They make sure that he is healthy. Then soon discover that Sammy is just lonley and wants some attention. In the end of the book was a list of facts about guinea pigs. I learned a lot from this list. Yes. This would be a great read aloud for a classroom that has a pet guinea pig.
