If you have a taste for the Wild West you'll love this fast read. House sets a speedy tale in a desert that reminds me so much of Southeastern Arizona that I can vision the saguaros and cholla. His antagonists are, in my mind's eye, real and dangerous, people you wouldn't want to meet in a narrow canyon. The final chapter brings the story full-course in the thunderous roar of six-guns and rifles, just as any good western should. Masterful work. Masterful writer.
