That lovable Rosie of Rosie Runs Away and Rosie's Baby Tooth is back in a touching story about a child's growing awareness of the world outside her comfortable home. Melissa Sweet's bright watercolors... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This has become one of my preschooler's favorite books, and is a great introduction to children about giving to those less fortunate. Rosie, Mama and little brother Mat are at the bakery one day picking out treats, and see a bunny and her mama who obviously do not have any much money for "extras". The rest of the book is the decisions Rosie makes about sharing some of the nice things she has with less fortunate bunnies. A terrific book for learning to give selflessly. We have made several trips to goodwill with donations since we first read this book. Beautifully illustrated in watercolors, with lots of fun subtle bunny themes like radish wallpaper. I am thrilled that this book is still in print, and after checking out the library's copy a zillion times, I am finally buying it!
