Rocky Mountain Murders brings to the reader several legendary Colorado murders, covering a span of fifty years - l934 to the early 1990s. Included are: a couple killed on their farm where people say "ghostly" sounds still can be heard; the college professor who allegedly killed his wife, buried her on the prairie, and when confronted by police committed suicide; the Denver beer baron, kidnapped and killed; the husband who killed and buried his wife and then pled self-defense.

Rocky Mountain Murders is the twelfth book co-authored by Sandra Wells and Betty Alt. Wells has a PhD from Colorado State University in Fort Collins while Alt has an MA in history from Northeast Missouri State University, and both have taught at the university level. While attempting to write books can be challenging, the two authors consider their efforts "a fascinating hobby".
