Entertaining & informative

This book is pefect for the 'Cliff Clavins' of the world. Its colorful cover and detailed photographs draw you in to read about some of the world's most bizzare facts, feats, people and animals. If your thing is outlandish trivia and oddities (albeit some of which are disturbing and not for the fainhearted), this is the book for you!

Ripley's Believe It or Not

The acquisition has hundreds of little known facts and feats by persons everywhere. The Encyclopedia of Needle Artwork is shown. A typical entry describes a Statute of Liberty situated in the eye of a needle. Leo Sewell literally converts trash to valued treasure. A 600 pound lady is shown from an earlier period. The use of candles in cutting hair is depicted. Captain Frodo is shown in practically every contortion imaginable. The acquisition would make a good conversation piece. In addition, this volume would be helpful in crafting any student project on minor subject areas of science and little known facts. The book would make a wonderful gift for the student in your home.
