I've been a big fan of this author from the early nineties. This is one of his best, and it's among a whole lot of realy top rate western novels. But they are all terrific. Keep them coming Mr. Cotton. If you have not read one yet, you should give it a try. YOu won't be disappointed. Lawrence Shaw is the kind of character you expect in a hard hitting wetern yarn. I'm pleased to say he's from TX.
Great "Classic" Western
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
This was the first book I've read from Ralph Cotton - and I'd have to say I was very impressed. This is a great story that includes everything you'd expect in a good Western. I must admit there was a point in the book where I really felt for Shaw. It caught me off guard, and left me wondering how the story would progress from there. If you are a fan of the classic Western authors I highly recommend you pick up a copy of this.
