Author Roper comes from a religious tradition which values careful exegesis over the speculative. The volumes on REVELATION reflect this in an easy to understand format. Major scholarly authors are consulted and often quoted in an easy to understand style. Hints for developing lessons and applications are also included. Roper steers clear of extremes and dogmatic positions. He holds to a fully inspired position on the Word, but carefully lets it speak rather than strain it through his personality. The result is a reverent expostion pleasing the student wanting to hear exactly what the Bible says. Though an introductory study, this is one of the saner efforts on this crucial NT book. It's methodology alone is worth the price.
