Masterful Study and Speculative Breakdown of Bible Prophecies regarding the Anti-Christ
Published by RANGER , 25 days ago
The subject of the Anti-Christ--a Biblical term for the anticipated future sinister world leader who is predicted to be a master of deception, a mastermind of diplomacy and war, a counterfeit of Christ, and the physical incarnation of a fallen angel among mankind--has long been a topic of Bible Prophecy scholars, Bible students, churchmen, and authors. The Anti-Christ idea and character has also become a fixture of pop culture, Hollywood movies, and all sorts of popular fiction from album covers featuring the number 666 to horror and dystopian novels. But the Anti-Christ is a deadly serious reality among end-times characters and must be understood to fully grasp what the scriptures say about the future and what it means to all of us.
Patrick Heron is the author of three books on Bible prophecy and numerous video documentaries distributed via DVD or on the internet. His take on the Anti-Christ stays close to scripture, which means he often has a fresh take in contrast to other prophecy "scholars" who tend to repeat content from other authors. Heron also looks at classical content such as Egyptian myth and non-canonical scriptures such as the Book of Enoch to shed light on some obscure Biblical concepts. This is helpful because all scripture--especially eschatology--must be viewed through a Middle East lens lest we fall into the trap of missing the obvious. Yet Heron is not afraid to employ logic to dismiss the most ridiculous speculations of other Bible prophecy authors. For example, he completely rejects an idea put forth in the 80s that old Babylon in Iraq was going to be rebuilt and is the mystery Babylon of Revelation. I will let you read the book for his position on the true identity of Mystery Babylon but he takes a position I have believed for years.
I am in full agreement with Heron on many subjects in his books. But I recognize there exists enough room for different points of view on some eschatology. So not all readers will agree with his conclusions. Nevertheless, Bible Prophecy is too important to ignore as so many Biblical prophecies have been fulfilled.
This book is highly, highly recommended to anyone with an interest in prophecy, the Bible, and/or the other more esoteric material in this book regarding details about the Giza Pyramid or the Book of Enoch, two subjects that I believe every Christian should look into. READ. THIS. BOOK.
And be blessed...
