Strong sense of place;woman pursues dream after failure.

I enjoyed the gentle pace of the story, and the strong sense of place and person that develop as the story proceeds. No sex or violence, a G-rated read. Good for relaxing, but also has some thought-provoking ideas about how we find our way in the world when we are injured by death or betrayal. Success from the ashes sort of story. The author has a "visual" sense that makes her writing quite evocative. I've read other things by her and all have been well written and thoughtful.
