The definitive biography of Stonewall Jackson, who many historians dub one of the most gifted tactical commanders in U.S. history. The book unbiasedly walks through his life, from the Mexican-American War, through the Virginia Military Academy, up to the Civil War. It shows the respect he commanded by both sides, and his legacy on military history. A good read on a good man that was on the wrong side.

Absolutely humbling and inspirational

Rebel yell is very likely one of my favorite books of all time. The true stonewall Jackson as depicted in this book is wholly inspirational in his walk with the Lord and his acumen in wartime. The many early battles of the war were laid out in great detail, certainly a joy to read!
