Finally a great book for single mommies!

I am a single divorced mom of an amazing 2 yr old whose father is not involved in his life (his choice, but it's for the better). It is so frustrating to get a book only to start reading it and there's that D word (he has no idea what Daddy means so I just change it to Papa for his grandpa!). This book is wonderful because it sends a loving message that your child is loved and wanted more than anything. I love this book!

This book got it just right! Perfect, comforting book for the child and for the adult. Well written and beautifully illustrated, this book is a joy for anyone but especially those in single-parent families.

A much needed book!

There are many single parent families in our culture and now here is a children's book about being a single parent. Raising You Alone, by Warren Hanson is a straight-forward story about the difficulties of being a single parent and the frustrations of being the kid of a single parent. Raising You Alone discusses all the issues that face a single parent family: loss, loneliness, and the lack of money and time. But those problems are balanced by the sharing of good times and the making of memories. Raising You Alone is a sweet book that celebrates the strength of family.
