Christopher Churchmouse books are great!

Last year I was lucky enough to meet the Davoll's at my son's school and get our books signed. We have two of the books so far. Rainy Day Resue helps children to realize that listening to you parents is very inportant, it can even keep you out of trouble. In this book Christopher and his friend Ted go on a little adventure despite Christopher's Mom's warnings not to do what they were going to do. Of course there is a happy ending and and they are left with the final words "You must learn to obey your parents even when you don't understand". Another nice thing about this book is at the end there are 7 "Discussion Starters" which enable the parent and the child to talk about the book. My son was able to answer every question after me only reading the book to him once and then had questions of his own. I think it is a great book for a parent to read out loud with a child. The book has colorful cute pictures and is easy enough to understand even for the youngest listener.
