The poems in this collection were not written for an audience but as part of an on-going early morning poetry practice in which an almost childlike voice addresses the ineffable mysteries. These poems love the world, laugh at themselves, and honor the fluidity of truth. Chet Kalm created beautiful, whimsical drawings that capture the essence of individual poems. His drawings and the poems seem to dance together. Jan Hutchinson writes at least one simple poem every morning. She lives at the raggedy edge of the village of South Egremont, Massachusetts. Chet Kalm is a painter and a constant student of the Berkshire landscape. He lives in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
