All quilters have leftover blocks that didn't make it into their last project--and over time, the collection grows and grows. Put them to creative use with these fabulous quickie ideas, which include useful household tools, home decorating items, accessories, and gifts. There's something for every taste: aprons and potholders, picnic placemats and casserole covers, seat cushions and pinwheel pillows, a fun fleece scarf and a fuzzy baby blanket. The patterns are included, there's general information on the craft for beginners, and the level ranges from very simple to moderately advanced, so almost anyone can join in the quilting fun.
I used this book to make about 4 project inside. The projects are easy to follow even for someone who is kinda new to quilting. It's a great book!
Great inspiration

I thoroughly disagree with the previous reviewer who disliked the book. She commented that it appeared that the blocks were made for the projects instead of left-overs; in fact, I know the author asked her shop customers for their left-over blocks to use in the book's designing process and designed the projects around them. The reviewer also feels there are no new ideas in the book. In fact, there are literally dozens of clever and easy projects which include little gifts, home decorating, wearables, and other ideas. Each project is fully and carefully explained, and each includes a different featured quilt block pattern with a careful explanation of how to cut and piece the block. The book is beautifully illustrated with full-page color photos of each project. Though I have many project-oriented quilt books, I still found ideas here which I had never thought of. Sarah is clever and creative, and her 'voice" in the book is encouraging and clear. I enthusiastically recommend this book to both beginning and more experienced quilters and sewers looking for ideas, no only for left-over blocks, but dozens of project for using quilting as embellishment or simply making the projects with plain sewing.
