In 2011 Los Angeles sculptor Jon Krawczyk set off for New York city, a 9-11 memorial cross strapped to the back of his pickup. He figured on four, maybe five days of highway monotony interspersed with moments of breathtaking scenery and, perhaps, a few conversations with strangers he'd meet along the way.
