Ray Stedman had the gift of dismantling the Bible and bringing it to life. Have you struggled with the Psalms? I have. Do your eyes gloss over with all that flowery language contrasting with disbelief when you read the harsh parts? That’s me. Have you dreaded that book in the Bible? No more. He explains the structure of the book and the “folk song” and teaching chapters within. Then he selects Psalms throughout the book and takes them apart to help you understand them.
