Frustrated by his slow recovery after an accident, Sloan Whittaker had chased off everyone who'd tried to help him. He was a prisoner to his bitterness--convinced he would never walk again. Joy understood Sloan's battle, she had been there--all he had to do was start believing. As his therapist, that was all she wanted. As a woman, she feared that once he could walk--he would.
As a fan of Debbie Macomber, I wasn't suprised at how much I liked the book. I did find it a little unbelieveable how soon into the story Joy started to fall in love with Sloan. Other than that, this book is a good story. Joy Neilsen's character is easy to like!

Wow! Debbie Macomber pulls off another wonderful book. I was spellbound by this book. It makes you want to laugh then cry. It will keep you up all hours of the night... unable to put the book down. This book shows how pride can keep people apart and then show how the gentleness can pull someone out of their blind ways. You will want to get all of Macomber's books after you read this one.
