I read this book when I was about thirteen years old. I got it from the libaray immediately after seeing the film with the wonderful Peter Ustinov (saidly not available on tape or CD). I enjoyed the book immensely and, over the years, searched for a copy of my own. I was never lucky enough to find one, that is, until now. The book is still funny and fun. It is what used to be called 'a good read' and remains highly entertaining. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
