I have done a full shiatsu practitioners course after having initially read this book out of passing interest. Now, as a practitioner, I still find the information in this book indispensible for my practice. I recommend it to the layperson and the professional alike. It is also a great companion to Chris Jarmey's shiatsu textbook, called 'Shiatsu - The Complete Guide', which is THE best source of Shiatsu inspiration / information.
This is an extremely well written and informative book.

This book is a fantastically detailed account and overview of shiatsu for it's size and price. 184 pages of solid, useful information. It contains an especially clear and simple synopsis of traditional oriental medicine in relation to shiatsu. The A-Z of common complaints and the description of what role shiatsu has to play in their management is superb.
