The New Pregnancy week-by-week Be in the know about your baby's progress -- from conception through to birth -- and what you need to do to ensure a healthy and problem-free pregnancy This description may be from another edition of this product.
This was given to me by a friend and I find it full of great info. I really like the pictures of the developing fetus and the information on the baby's growth. It's a great timeline reminder too!
Great week by week

I bought this book for my pregnancy with my daughter and thought it was awesome. Some of the other books have "too much information" and are very overwhelming. This one sets up like a flip chart and every week you turn the page. My husband and I loved flipping to see what had changed to the next week. It gets pretty graphic in some areas about sexual positions etc, but overall a great way to follow what is going on inside of you. Highly recommend.

This book is fantastic. I had been reading "What to Expect when you are Expecting" and it was making me very nervous. This is a great book that gives a very positive outlook of what is happening to both you and your baby every week. I love to read it with my husband as each week passing. It makes us feel like we are experiencing it together.
Very helpful, upbeat overview

When I first went to the book store looking for pregnancy books, I left very very depresssed. Books like "What to expect when you are expecting" and the "Girlfriends' Guide" made me quite afraid. Pregnancy Week By Week shows all of the wonderful things about being pregnant. It shows concentrates on the development of your baby, which is what pregnancy is all about after all. It explains the changes that a woman can expect in her body, but does it in a way that is not so frightening as the "Girlfreinds' guide" "and What to expect when you are expecting" It also covers common complaints, but does it in a way so that the focus is still the developing baby...the discomforts of pregnancy are just incidental in this book. This is a great overview, but does not go very, very deeply into various important issues. If you want a very detailed book, look at Miriam Stoppard's "Conception, Pregnancy and Birth."
