Practical Apartment Management

For those of us actually earning our livings in property management, one realizes the full impact and value of this book within the first two pages. It tackles the relevant topics, and it does so with remarkable clarity, detail, facts, and most importantly, reality. This book is the real deal whether one is a single rental property owner or works in the industry, like I do. And finally, the author is so incredibly knowledgeable with actual experience on the topic, that the information leaps off the page as if he is talking it to you. "The Real Deal" - hands down!

This book is an instructional marvel in pointing the ways to better market vacant units and understanding the steps in setting achievable rent levels. The book's 400 pages provide solutions and techniques not found in any other apartment management text. Ed Kelley foretells the direction of apartment rentals; offers a program to improve competitiveness; and a step by step guide to increasing residents' average length of stay, that being the key to increasing the bottom line. I can't think of a property management situation that is not covered in this new edition.

BEST GOT BETTER

For years our firm has used the "Kelley book" for training and reference. This new 6th Edition is completely different, nicely organized and packed full of new and timely ideas. Even our most seasoned managers have commented on how many different approaches and techniques they haved garnered from the new edition. This is a must read for today's apartment managers.

Excellent Resource for Property Managers

After receiving the book Wednesday, I planned to "have a look" over the weekend. I ended up reading it completely in just three days. It has a great flow. I felt like Kelley was right there in the room, walking me through the ins and outs of managing real estate. I start my Property Management course this Fall, and I now feel very comfortable about embarking on my new career.
