Descriptions used by the writer are very sensational. The writer is not just a Yoga master but also a good writer. I read a lot of Yoga books but this is the only one that I consider to be worth possessing and worth consuming the precious space in my book shelf. I've practiced yoga and fitness exercise for over 10 years. There are sufficient pictures in the book to demonstrate to the readers how to stay in a correct posture and the outlook of the model in the book is convincing. I highly recommend you to buy it.
Power Yoga for Beginners

Anything by Liz Lark is excellent. Power Yoga is another name for Ashtanga or Astanga Yoga. This is an excellent aid for beginners. It is in a notebook type cover which you can set up for easy reference while you work through the poses (asanas). Liz also has some excellent books on yoga. One recommended is variously titled Power Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga in its recent incarnation, presumably because the name Ashtanga is now better known.
