I received this book as a gift a year and a half ago. My goal was to make every pie in the book which I am about to complete, and what a great journey it is. All of the pies are straightforward in their execution but sophisticated in taste. I've been making notes on each page about how the pies have turned out. I'll be sad when they're done but the book will stay with me forever because I get requests for the pies again and again and again. Oh, and the Orange Chiffon alone is worth the cover price.

I found this cookbook full of delicious recipes as well as excellent basic tips for young cooks. Unfortunately, there were few pictures and no step by step pictures of how to roll out a piecrust, etc.
