Jo Hiestand gets better and better. I've been following this series since the first book and the more I read, the more intrigued I become, not only with the clever plotting, but with the series characters and their evolving relationships. Brenna Taylor is a fresh new protagonist on the mystery scene, who pulls us into her life and doesn't let go. Looking forward to the next one! A.S.
Thanks for a Good Read!

I met Jo Hiestand at the St. Louis MysteryFest last week and I admit I > was skeptical of her police procedurals. But I liked her and go by
> the adage, true or not, if you like the author you'll probably like
> the book.
>
> Well I loved the book, Pearls Before Swine. I don't usually like
> police procedurals, especially English police procedurals but I do
> like most of Elizabeth George's and now I find I like Jo Hiestand's.
> I can't wait to get my book mark in the other three she has published.
>
> I do love England and I stand in awe of Jo's guts in taking on the
> details needed to write a good procedural and she isn't even living
> there now.
> The
> book is full of information about the area, the customs and the
> requirements of everyday living in rural England and it all rings
> true. The plot was complex but easy to follow and the characters were
> engaging. I appreciate a good read and this was one.
