Papa Pride

This is a wonderful choice for a new baby or Father's Day gift. There are very few books out there that explore the special relationship between father and child, and Kathy Mallat, author/illustrator from Maine, does this superbly with wolves as her subjects. This former teacher writes in rhyme that is not hokey, and her illustrations are simply beautiful. Every time someone has a new baby, we buy them Mallat's "Mama Love" and "Papa Pride". They get rave reviews from the new parents and quickly become favorite read alouds for the little ones. She spoke at my retired teachers luncheon once and was such a delightful talented person, which makes it all the more easy to buy her books.

Nice Dad book

This is a cute book about cubs interacting with their father. I bought this for my six year old daughter and she liked it very much, It was nice to find a book I could share with my daughter that showed how much Dad's want to love, teach, nuture and bond with their children in a way they can understand and enjoy. The book has wonderful and colorfull drawings that my daughter loved. It is a very easy book to read to young children and I highly recommend it to all Dads who enjoy reading to their kids.

Papa Wolf had 3 cubs. He is very proud of them. The cubs are telling us about their dad. They tell us that he is playful and protective. Th cubs love their dad and their dad loves them. Very sweet and short picture book. This is a sweet story for any child who loves his dad. Most boks focus on the mom and child relationship. We enjoyed this point of view! Perfect for story times and father's day reading!
