I would rate "Oriental Rugs: A complete guide by Murray I Eiland" as one of the very best reference books on Oriental rugs that I have come across. The choice of the rugs that are illustrated therein, their classification-- including detailed descriptions and dating--, the quality of the color plates, along with the given history of the oriental rug, makes this work an excellent reference on this subject. I very highly recommend it!
