One scary night a young boy finds himself alone in a cold, dark forest. As he walks deeper into the woods, it starts to snow. The boy presses on. But he is NOT alone. Something is watching him. Is it... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I just purchased copies of this for each of our preschool grandchildren, a boy and a girl. On vacation last week we checked it out of the vacation area library (how wonderful is that?) and "read" it over and over by "reading" the illustrations and creating our own story words -- several versions. The illustrations are elegant -- good visual nutrition for little ones. More importantly, both grandson and granddaughter were mesmerized by the careful action as it unfolded over the pages. The illustrations elicit a just scary/exciting enough story line as well as a sweet, but satisfying, ending. Lovely and well worth owning.
Unique, beautiful

We loved this book. Kids can discover the story for themselves, or younger kids can talk it through with you. We saw it as a wolf keeping watch over the boy, but you can make up your own words.
