... and I am so glad! Ramón is a young boy that tends to the sheep. He makes rhymes for the animals and their sounds, and as you read, you learn the animal name and sound words in Spanish! It's full color, and drawn and colored in a simplistic Mexican style - very comforting and pleasing to look at. Vibrant, zarape colors! The best part is that each story begins with a list of five or so words in Spanish, the PHONETIC SPELLING (hardly any book does that these days!), and then the English equivalent. There is enough repetition and a great illustration, that you can't help but learn some Spanish! I'll be getting several of these as gifts for my students' families, and will recommend it as supplemental reading for the Animal lesson in Flip Flop Spanish Level 2. It includes culture, language, art, rhymes, and humor! Fantastic! Sra. Gose Author of Flip Flop Spanish: Ages 3-5: Level 1 (Book + CD) & Spanish Fun Activity Calendar
