I love this series of books. It tells you all of the places to go to live day to day. When I am traveling and staying for a long period of time, I try to stay in an apartment or condo so I can make my own meals. Books like this are so helpful to tell you where simple things like drugstores and grocery stores are. I previously purchased the Boston and New York NFT books and used them often while visiting.

NFT for any city are great. It definately doesn't highlight overly touristy areas. I had some visitors and was using my NFT to navigate our day and thinking there wasn't much in a particular area we stumbled into a major tourist trap. No big deal but funny that there wasn't anything on the map. Other than that it is a perfect guide for a newly relocated city dweller.
For locals and frequent visitors

My husband is originally from San Francisco, so we visit frequently. We like to try new areas and return to favorites. This spring we wanted to make use of the public transportation system, so we purchased this book. I know that we will use this for many more visits--both in the planning and during the visit!
Great SF info!

I lived in SF for ten years and this book was great at reminding me of fun places I used to go to (and wanted to return to) and new places to try. Great assortment of maps. The book is segmented in a very helpful way.

Hi! I'am a College student that attends San Francisco State University and I have to say this little book has saved me a lot of heartache. For example I was caught downtown last weekend at 12:30 a.m. the regular MUNI(SF bus system) was done for the evening. The OWL(late night bus system) was running but only has a few locations, I decided to consult my little black book and sure enough the OWL system map was there. My little black book has traveled around my dorm floor its know by the residents as the "bible" thanks NFT ps. Im going to grad school in Chicago so NFT Chicago is on my list 2006 ed.
