When her rental car has a flat tyre, Liz Hardy stops at the Tillot farm for a car jack. Nora Tillot walks Liz out to the barn and, as they search for the jack, the two women begin a journey neither anticipated. As their friendship turns passionate, will their happiness be shattered by rumours?
I found this book to be very profound, especially if you've ever lost a parent or had to care for one. It's also about how we look at people and make assumptions about them. This book isn't a typical romance, and there isn't any hot sex. It's about emotions, sacrifice, family and love. note - I only write reviews for books I recommend.
A breath of fresh air

I find it amusing when people complain that they had to read through an entire 200-page book and didn't even get a sex scene as a reward. Actually, I thought this novel was a breath of fresh air among the mainstream lesbian romances that provide lots of hot sex and minimal character or plot development. The main characters and their backgrounds were developed in such depth with such a rich background that I truly cared about them and rejoiced when they found each other. I have tremendous respect for the author of this book, Nancy Garden. She has written gay-themed books for children and teenagers, an act of courage even today. She is the author of "Annie on my Mind", the first and widely banned novel chronicling a relationship between two teenaged girls. She has written the kind of books many lesbians wish had been available when we were growing up. "Nora and Liz" is her first book for adult readers, and I truly hope will not be her last.
An Enjoyable Book, Indeed!

For those who enjoy romance that isn't completely chock full of 'steamy' romance and sex and all of that, but rather in the plot and the development of characters, then I recommend this book. Its a quick read and well worth my time time spent reading it.

I loved this book. My favorite auther is Frankie Jones but I had read all of her books. I love hot steamy romances. There was some honesty to this book. A great read in my mind
