In my first marriage I was a victim of domestic violence. After years of blaming myself and feeling as though I was not worthy of love I began to search for books/conferences or whatever that might help me learn to be a better person. I stumbled onto this book. It has really helped me see the entire events from a new perspective. I use it as a reference when I work with others that have been the victim of some type of abuse. The writers not only give you the psychiatric perspective but the Biblical perspective. It's a really good package. If you or someone you love has been a victim then this will help you and them. You BOTH need to read it for understanding and moving forward.
