The Newsoul Discipleship Course Level 1 is a six-week course that lays the foundation for a Spirit-filled life as a follower of Jesus. The students' journey begins at the cross on Week One. This establishes the source of freedom, peace, and joy in life. It answers the questions: "Why did Jesus come to earth?" "What happened at the cross?" "Why did Jesus do it?" "What must we do to be saved?" Week Two introduces the concept of forgiveness and the importance of it for a disciple of Christ. It showcases God's nature of forgiveness and how to be like Him, by letting go of the hurt and receiving the healing needed. Week Three explores ways the student may increase their relationship with God through prayer, Bible reading, worship, and journaling. The Holy Spirit is the topic of Week Four and is experienced through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Week Five teaches how to live as an overcomer by starving the old nature and feeding the new nature of the Spirit. The course culminates with the Great Commission in Week Six. Every lesson includes activations in class in addition to Bible study and reading homework for the week.
