However, what most people overlook is her tragic story of being raped and then being punished by being isolated, as well the snakes and eyes. My Personal Journey with Medusa is about Social Justice. While Medusa was a beautiful young woman who tended Athena's temple and was greatly wronged, she urges people to fight for others' rights.
