I have been reading manga for over 20 years, so yes I'm a middle aged woman. I picked up this series on a fluke. I think it is so funny! The artwork and portrayal of the emotions through pics is expressed beautifully. I would recommend this manga series to anyone 13 and up. Very enjoyable.

If you're expecting a sports manga, you're going to be dissappointed. Very funny with similarities to the earliest parts of Kare Kano, but without any serious aspects. Quite funny, nice artwork.
