This guy is hysterical and doesn't even know it!

PLEASE PLEASE somebody make a movie out of this book! I want to know what happened to him after the wire debacle! I can't find any other books by the guy. Is this a first book? Why isn't it a best seller? anyone? anyone?

sweet and funny. worth reading twice.

Jones manages to make you laugh out loud and also gets you thinking. the recipes are interesting,although I wish he said a little something about each restaurant. The poems by his mom? a great idea! what's next??

Had I not been laughing so hard I would have finished the book sooner. After a box of tissues and quite a few deep breaths I was done. I can not wait to attempt some of the recipes! I think we've all known a Doug Jones growing up. How refreshing to see that some people are not only willing to laugh at themselves, but invite us to join in. It's also nice to see that with some hard work and a few snacks we do make progress. This book was a joy and a privilege to read!

Delightful

Jones makes us remember that life can lead us down many unexpected paths, some enjoyable, others not so much. All paths can be taken a bit easier with a good dose of humor and the right treat. (I thought I was the only one who thought Little Debbies was the great anti-stress food). A truly enjoyable read from start to finish.

Hilariously funny; hope there's a novel soon.

Great short stories to read in your spare time. I read the first Chapter on "Copper Farming" aloud to my friends and I cried twice from laughing. You can't help but love Jones-- there is a little of him in all of us. Only one problem, I am dying to know what little snack Jones had in his pocket in "Deer Hunting in Suburbia." Imus book award? I think yes!
