The Most Wonderful Sleuth in all Mysterydom!

Granted, Albert gives new meaning to the term 'off-beat', but he's more real than typical protagonists in this genre, in fact, more real than a lot of people I know. I've never laughed so hard this side of P.G. Wodehouse, which made Albert's unexpected reversals and losses palpable. Read this book!
Unlikely hero

It's been a while since I read this book, but I still remember it fondly. An unlikely hero, a musically inclined mathematician (or is it the other way around) stumbles through this mystery with his own unique perspective on appropriate behavior, etc. If you like quirky characters, this breezy novel should catch your interest.
