Kid-tested and Mother-approved!!

My kids love this story about a grandma with a big heart. Mrs. T's humorous antics delight children as well as bringing smiles to adults. My children ask me often to read this and cook together the recipes in the back of the book. The bright illustrations encourage snuggling up with your kids so all can see. It's refreshing to find a book with quality writing and a good moral to the story. I am glad I have a copy in my home and have given it away as gifts.

Absolutely Delightful Book

This absolutely delightful book is beautifully illustrated. Mrs. Twiggenbotham is a grand motherly woman who does not see very far but she sees far enough to reach people with loving concern. She shares kindness and baked goods with people who need a bit of cheer. Three of her best recipes are at the end of the book. While designed for children 4 to 8, this book is a delight for the adults with whom the children share it.

The main character, Mrs. Twiggenbotham, is a delight, along with all of the other "characters" in the book. I highly recommend this book as an A-1 choice of reading material for young children.
