Whimsical wonder

A delightful prod to my adult imagination, this book reminded me to view the world anew. Tom Corwin has created a wonderous world enhanced by Craig Frazier's beautiful illustrations. I very much enjoyed this whimsical journey, as real life sometimes is too linear.
Walking on a Whim...

Mr. Fooster reminds us of that child like and innocent fascination with the world that many of us loose sight of as we grow old. When Mr. Fooster ponders questions like: Why is yawning contagious? How long do frogs' tongues get? Why do grown-ups loose their sense of wonder? I feel as though my inner child has been stirred to life again. Tom Corwin's fantastic narrative coupled with Craig Frazier's rich and whimsical illustrations, leaves the reader with the enigmatic if not totally inspirational postulate: "Think yourself free."
A moving story, gorgeous illustrations

I wasn't sure where this "visual novel" would take me. But take me it did. Mr. Fooster seems to have the kind of time I always wish I had -- free, open, abundant. He uses it well and during his wanderings, discovers life lessons, natural truths and things that make you breathe deep. The illustrations are extraordinary - complex, fluid, full of surprises. I'm sure Mr. Fooster has more stories to tell us. For now, I bought this one several times to share with friends and family.

Mr. Fooster is truly a beautiful book. The simple story follows no rules, taking you on a series of journeys where you never know what's around the next corner. There is nothing predictable about it, each page reveals another little surprise, from a bubble that turns into flying fish to the lead character sprouting roots and becoming a tree. Corwin delivers a message without preaching - it's silly and serious and most importantly, fun to read. The illustrations are delightful. Craig Frazier is brilliant, his illustrations bring the words and Mr. Fooster's clever world to life with elegance and charm. I'm definitely a fan. This is a wonderful gift book for adults and kids. I'm stocking up!
