A Mouse in Solomon's House: A Child's Book of Wisdom
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
An excellent book about a mouse who has to learn "the hard way" some of the timeless wisdom of Solomon's proverbs. A white hawk named "Wisdom" becomes the patient instructor of the mouse. The illustrations truly captivate young and old alike. Our son asked us to read it to him over and over again.
Excellent book for teaching discernment to children

About 3 years ago we started borrowing this book from our church library in NJ. It has been a favorite of my six-year-old daughter since then. Last year we moved to NC and she was so disappointed that we couldn't get it anymore. My husband and I and our older daughter love reading it to her. It is an entertaining, yet practical way to teach wisdom and discernment to children by using a very lovable mouse named Marble. We live in a world where there are many negative influences pulling at our children, and this book teaches children why they should be wise, and how they can have the courage to do so. I highly recommend this book to everyone with children!! It is out of print, so get it while you can!
A Lifeboat

I bought this book for a friend who graduated high school andwas planning on going onto bible school. I knew he would be facingmany challenges and needed the wisdom only Solomon could provide. I have since found out (after his graduation from bible school) that this book has helped him and his friend make it through the rough times they went through as students. He told of many a times how they ran to the refuge that only their new found friend Marble could provide. The book has since been misplaced and the two went through their final semester without the wisdom and guidance of Marble. Both agree, it was hard. They tried alternatives, but none seemed to do the trick. I recommend this book not only as a tool of wisdom for little kids, but also a vital lifeboat for big kids!
