I visited Vancouver on one of those fast weekend tours years ago and loved it. However, I didn't get to see much past the beautiful Butcher gardens because those tours only take you so far. I loved the Moon V & V book because it told me all the attractions I could want to see, but also the best restaurants and local entertainment that you wouldn't see on a guided tour. My second and third visits to the area were definitely more culturally fulfilling -- and cheaper too since I knew some bargain places from the book. If you want the full Vancouver and Victoria experience, get this guidebook because it will come in handy.
