Grant needs to grow up

Paranormal Crime Fiction / Police Procedural London Constable (and magician's apprentice) Peter Grant is confronted but the murders of several local Jazz musicians. The deaths look natural, but stink of magic. To make matters more tense, Grant's father has decided to perform again, filling in for a recently deceased member of an amature Jazz group. Can Grant track down the "Jazz Vampire" before it's too late? Grant is far more distracted from his work in this second book. He seems much less focused than he did in the first. His mind is certainly not on this work. I hope to see him more focused on book 3. Perhaps he's learned his lesson? (Too much to hope?) Regardless, this series is my new favorite thing. I definitely need more books like this! So if you are a fan and can suggest similar, please do!
