Pleasantly refered to as "The Old Standard"

I refer to this book as "The Old Standard" because whenever things start to get a bit heavy on the quantum side I can always rely on Blatt's book to get me through it. This wounderful selection is strong on the mathematical end of modern physics. It also contains the all important historical development and conceptual nature of modern physics. I would recomend this to anyone who needs a quantum reference, or wants to get a secure handle on the nuts and bolts of this wonderful (and challenging) science.
