AMust for Pantry Cooks

Great recipes. The books is chocked full of valuable techniques and ideas to cook from scratch. In this economic crisis we are in, this book's value is unequaled. We can save $$$ at the grocery store by preparing meals from scratch and keeping a well stocked pantry.

Easy, quick recipes. Bread recipe easier than mine, and just as good. Highly recommend this to people who want to save a few $$$.

Simple can be nourishing

What ever happened to the meals of yesteryear? They are here in this book. Talking about bring back years you thought were long gone. This book will reintroduce you to the comfort foods of your youth.

Perfection

I've had this book for 5 months and have tried about 50% of the recipes. Every single one has been not only acceptable but suprisingly good. I generally don't write reviews of anything but if you want to save time and quite a bit of money and improve the quality of your diet without scrimping on taste, please buy this book. I doubt you will be disappointed. Most of the mixes are actually better tasting that what is on your grocery shelf.

a great time saver

This little book will save not only time, when so many are juggling jobs and families, but save a great deal of money too. You make your own super market mixes. You do it with all dehydrated ingredients so you are able to store them on the shelf and not take up valuable refrigerator space. If you don't have time to go out to buy a mix for some unexpected event. You have the peace of mind knowing the mix is on the shelf. Tasty recipes follow each mix. You can try the mini mix first to see if your family likes it. Then make up the full sized mix. My hat is off to these ladies and their wonderful little book. What a time and money saver it is! And, the dehydrated shortening and margarine you use is less than half the fat grams if you are counting those. Also you can shop from home for the ingredients! Great Book!! J. Wheeler Utah
