World War II had just ended, and I looked forward to being discharged along with many other sailors. I had been stationed in the Philippines during the war, but after a long voyage back to the States, many of us found ourselves in San Francisco awaiting our discharge. It was during that time when a number of inexplicable events occurred that dramatically changed my life. They were so remarkable and shocking to me that there was no doubt I was touched by a series of miracles. Now, at the age of ninety-seven, I firmly believe that God changed my life during that time to help guide me toward a life of service and devotion to others as an educator, administrator, and devoted Christian. I felt it would be helpful to share what occurred during my lifetime to show you what can happen if you identify and realize pivotal points in your life when God provides you with miracles to help guide you in the direction that will best serve yourself and others on this remarkable journey called life.
