This book is so informative about every type of mint plant that exists, and educates the reader on how mint has been used in various cultures throughout history. More importantly, though, it teaches the reader many different ways in which mint can be used. It shows you how to make homemade mint shampoo, mint foot creme (which is good for itchy skin), mint massage oil (which is especially comforting to a young child), mint toothpaste, mint foot soak, etc. There are also helpful hints on how mint can aid in healthful ways, such as easing an upset stotmach or soothing a cold. It mentions that peppermint is too strong for babies and very young children, and that spearmint is much more suitable for them. A cup of spearmint tea before bed with a little honey can help a person sleep. At the end of the book, there are different types of gifts you can make out of mint, including sachets, etc. It's definitely worth the money if you love mint!
History, Mythology and Lots of Remedies

Wonderful and detailed collection of information on the history and mythology regarding mint plants. My favorite sections, though, are the chapters on remedies and cosmetics--there are lots of recipes and how-to instructions for making and using teas, tinctures, tonics--even a refreshing minty bath fizz!
